How would I describe myself to someone?
I really tried to make it objective.
42 year old dude. A little thick around the mid-section (like a lot of middle aged guys). Light brown-blonde hair anywhere but the top of his head, where sparseness prevails. Kind blue eyes, and when he smiles, it’s a little crooked with an almost wink.
The dude doesn’t dress well. He has a complicated relationship with his body and is primarily focused on clothing as functional. Mostly jeans and T-shirts, with a fondness for baseball hats.
He has an accounting job at a small business in Portland, though he lives across the river in Vancouver, WA. He lives in the garage of a house at the end of a cul-de-sac with 4, soon to be 5, roommates. He sleeps exclusively in a hammock, and is saving up to move into Portland proper and find a place sans roommates with hopes to adopt a dog.
On the weekends he likes to go on hiking adventures, kayaking on local lakes and rivers, exploring thrift stores and interesting shops in the city, and putzing around his garage with impulsive DIY projects, or rearranging things). He’s constantly seeking knowledge and listening to podcasts in order to expand his perspective.
Part midwestern-Dad, part burgeoning hippie, part young man ready to shed his skin; Andrew is recovering from C-PTSD, late diagnosis ADHD, and learning how to reparent his childhood self and step into life as the man he feels he is.
