I’ve had a frustrating couple of days. It is not at all coincidental that it lines up with my shot day. I’ve learned that I can adjust my expectations and things will be fine. I’m not at all worried about the fact that the trip hasn’t gone at all like I’d planned so far. I heard something on a podcast once about having an idea or general structure of a plan, but not down to the detail. If I tried to do that, I would not be sitting at a Cracker Barrel in Council Bluffs, IA writing this.
<< As I re-read that paragraph I am horrified that every sentence begins with I and want so badly to go back and edit to make it sound like better writing >>
At this point, I’m just going to make bullet points of shit that’s happening and bugging me, strap in.
- Constantly shifting things in my car
- I did not pack correctly for this kind of trip and how I would need to access my things.
- However, the needs of the trip have changed.
- Not having all of my clothes/personal things in one spot
- The cooler needs to be shifted to the car successfully
- Issue: Needs 12V charge, can’t be run off splitter, it keeps falling out.
- Since it’s an electric cooler, if I can’t solve the above issue, I need to use dry ice, so it won’t melt into the cooler
- The trip has turned into more of a getting from place to place instead of enjoying nature and writing in this blog.
- If I don’t want that to continue, I need to make a change.
- Camping is fucking expensive, yo!
- It’s also time consuming and I never just sit and relax, which is why I don’t feel like I’m getting the aforementioned experience.
- I can camp in an even smaller profile than the tent. I just need two trees at a decent distance and I can set up a whole sleep shelter situation much quicker than the tent.
- I need to be ready to either hammock camp at a campground or convert the car to a sleeping situation (with minimal effort and/or set steps)

This was left abandoned yesterday, as the rest of the day was filled with trying to reorganize the car
